Import from Instagram

Save any recipe you find on Instagram — posts, Reels, and Stories — directly into your RecipeMe cookbook in seconds.

Option 1 — Share directly from Instagram (fastest)

Open the Instagram post or Reel that contains the recipe.
Tap the Share (paper plane) icon below the post.
Scroll down and tap More if RecipeMe isn't visible.
Select RecipeMe from the app list.
RecipeMe opens automatically and begins importing the recipe.

💡 Tip: Add RecipeMe to your Share Shortcuts for one-tap access. Go to the share sheet → scroll right to the app icons → tap the … button → select Edit and pin RecipeMe to the front.

Option 2 — Paste the caption text

If the recipe is written in the Instagram caption (most food creators do this):

Tap … on the post → Copy Link or long-press the caption to copy it.
Open RecipeMe and tap the + button.
Select Paste Text.
Paste the caption. RecipeMe automatically detects ingredients and steps.

ℹ️ Note: Instagram doesn't publicly share structured recipe data, so results work best when the creator writes the full recipe in the caption.
